Great Grandpa’s Snickerdoodles

Ingredients:

  • 1 c. Butter
  • 1 1/2 c. Sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 c. Flour
  • 2 tsp. Cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. Baking soda
  • 1 tsp. Salt

Directions:

Mix butter, sugar, and eggs well. Sift flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Stir in and mix well. Chill mixture until easy to handle. Roll pieces of dough into a ball the size of a large marble. Roll into a mixture of 2 tablespoons of sugar and 2 tablespoons of cinnamon. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet for 8-10 minutes at 400 degrees.
