Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup cake or all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups sliced peeled peaches reserved in bowl

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Place a 13 by 9-inch baking dish in the oven with 1/2 cup (1 stick) of butter, to melt the butter.
  • In a large bowl, mix 1 cup of cake or all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
  • Stir in 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of whole milk to form the batter.
  • Using oven mitts, carefully remove the hot baking dish with melted butter from the oven.
  • Pour the batter into the baking dish, and spoon 2 cups of sliced and peeled peaches (along with any peach juices) evenly over the batter.
  • Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until the batter has risen and turned golden brown on top.
