Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Place a 13 by 9-inch baking dish in the oven with 1/2 cup (1 stick) of butter, to melt the butter.
In a large bowl, mix 1 cup of cake or all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
Stir in 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of whole milk to form the batter.
Using oven mitts, carefully remove the hot baking dish with melted butter from the oven.
Pour the batter into the baking dish, and spoon 2 cups of sliced and peeled peaches (along with any peach juices) evenly over the batter.
Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until the batter has risen and turned golden brown on top.
