- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut in half horizontally
- 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt flakes
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and cracked black pepper to taste
- Mashed potatoes, steamed rice, or pasta
- Steamed greens
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley
- Lemon wedges
Season chicken breasts with pepper, salt, paprika, onion powder, and thyme. Coat evenly in flour.
Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
Remove chicken and set aside. Add remaining butter to the skillet. Sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
Add chicken broth and cook until reduced by half. Stir in heavy cream and Dijon mustard. Simmer until thickened.
Stir in Parmesan cheese and season to taste. Return chicken to the skillet for 2-3 minutes to heat through.
Serve with your choice of sides and garnish with parsley and lemon.
