Broccoli Beef Stir Fry

Oh how I love me some stir fry! This broccoli beef stir fry is super easy and tastes amazing! Serve with white rice.
My son is obsessed with rice. Just rice, nothing with it. Or as he says, “rice with no food in it.” So he absolutely loves when we have broccoli beef stir fry or any kind of stir fry really.

My daughter will eat absolutely anything. And she loves broccoli. So tonight’s menu was a hit for them!

This recipe is easy to follow and fast to make! If your looking for something quick to fix on a busy week night, this recipe is perfect!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef, any cut will do
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil

For meat coating:

  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder

For Sauce:

  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Red pepper flakes

Directions:

Cut beef into thin slices.

In a large bowl, whisk cornstarch, water, garlic powder and onion powder.

Add beef and toss until coated.

In a large skillet, heat oil on medium heat. Add beef.

Cook beef until desired doneness and remove from pan.

Add broccoli to same skillet. Add a little more oil if necessary.

Cook broccoli until slightly tender.

In medium bowl, whisk soy sauce, cornstarch, water, honey, and garlic.

Add beef and sauce to skillet.

Bring to a boil then turn heat to medium low or low for 5-6 minutes or until thickened.

Sprinkle with red pepper flakes.

Serve over white rice.

Notes

If you don’t have red pepper flakes, cayenne pepper will do.
