- 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
- 1/2 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 cup panko bread crumbs or your choice of breading crushed pork rinds, almond flour, etc.
- 1 teaspoon cooking oil
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper adjust to taste
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Oil spray for coating the shrimp
Pat the shrimp dry after rinsing, then lightly coat them with cooking oil. Season evenly with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with your chosen bread crumbs. Dredge each shrimp in flour, then dip into the eggs, and finally, coat thoroughly with the bread crumbs.
Place the breaded shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Spray the shrimp with oil, flip them over, and spray the other side to ensure even coating.
Air fry the shrimp at 380°F for 8 minutes. Flip the shrimp over and continue air frying at the same temperature for an additional 2-6 minutes, or until the breading is golden and the shrimp are fully cooked. Cooking time may vary based on the size of the shrimp. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
