Soy-Ginger Wings

Into the oven and onto a plate without breaking a sweat, these wings are simple to make with only five ingredients and no deep-frying. Salty soy sauce, sweet honey, sesame oil, and warming ginger make these wings the perfect combination of flavors. All you need is a beer and a ball game, and you’re ready to go.

Ingredients:

  • 3 pounds chicken wings, cut at the joint
  • 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon peeled and grated ginger
  • Sliced green onions, for garnish, optional
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

Directions:

Heat oven to 425 degrees F. Line a rimmed sheet tray with foil and lightly spritz with nonstick spray. Add the wings to the prepared sheet tray and season on both sides with salt and pepper. Bake until golden and crisp, about 45 to 50 minutes. Flip the wings halfway through baking.

Meanwhile, whisk together soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, and ginger in a medium saucepan. Simmer over medium heat, until just syrupy, about 1 to 2 minutes.

Place wings into a large bowl, drizzle with the thickened sauce and toss. Sprinkle with green onion, if desired, and serve immediately.
