2. Your Dog Wants Attention

Speaking of dog toys: if your dog is bored, he’ll bark too. Loud yapping is ideal as an invitation to play or to attract attention – at least the four-legged friend thinks.

Make sure to keep your pet adequately occupied and play with him daily in addition to regular walks.
However, it is important that the request to play should come from you, not from your dog. If he yaps to get your attention, send him gently but firmly to his blanket, and then start a game of your own a little later.

The same applies to cuddles: the request should always come from the person.
