When you’re in need of a quick and easy treat, these marbled cheesecake brownies are the answer. Chill them before serving to highlight the cheesecake flavor.
Ingredients:
- 1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients required for mix)
- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup chocolate chips, divided
Directions:
Preheat oven to temperature indicated on brownie mix box. Grease 9 x 9-inch pan and set aside. Mix together brownie batter using box ingredients and directions, fold in 3/4 cup of chocolate chips, and set aside. In a separate bowl, beat together cream cheese, egg, sugar and vanilla until smooth. Spread 2/3 of brownie batter into prepared pan. Dollop cream cheese mixture and remaining brownie batter over top. Using a knife, swirl together cream cheese and brownie batter to create a pretty pattern. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup of chocolate chips over top.
Bake according to box directions until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, or approximately 40-50 minutes.
Tip: Lining the pan with parchment paper makes easy work of removing the chilled brownies.
