Beware of 10 Poisonous Plants In Your Garden

6. Thorn Apple

The thorn apple or asthma herb rightly bears its name. Because the green fruit capsule is large, four-lobed, and completely covered with spikes. The calyx blooms from June to September. But already from August to October, black kidney-shaped seeds ripen. The leaves of the thorn apple are toothed, long-stemmed, and have an elongated egg shape.

Dangerous symptoms are to be expected even if small amounts are ingested.

These include:

  • Restlessness
  • Clouding of consciousness and / or hallucinations
  • Dilated pupil
  • Dry mouth
  • Bladder barrier
  • Overtemperature
  • Pulse acceleration
